The Gujrat riots and North-east conflict provide the backdrop for this Bengali flick. Paresh (Prosenjit) works for the government, screening films on family planning from village to village. He is miserable with his life and dreams of some woman who he hopes to meet one day. He meets Chapal (Rajesh Sharma), a driver, and Amina (Rimi Sen), a pregnant Bangladeshi refugee, in the course of his journey and the three travel together, forming a bond.
