Neene Neene is perhaps the first Kannada film that deals with the incompatibility problems in a modern family where both husband and wife are working professionals. The film has a fresh look and the complex story line has a touch of authenticity not seen in many other commercial films in Kannada.
Abhi, a marketing executive meets Nandu, a rich girl and they decide to marry. Nandu`s father warns the lovers that marriage would be a different proposition. Trying to please his wife, Abhi lands up in a financial mess, and is heckled and humiliated by his creditors. It creates many problems in his personal as well as professional life, which leads to the couple`s breakup. How this issue is resolved forms the rest of the narrative.
