The movie spins around a doctor (Mark Ruffalo) and his wife (Julianne Moore) who are in quarantine along with others, when blindness strikes residents of a city. The high-security facility however doesn’t have the necessary means to sustain them, which leads to shortage of essential commodities like food. But what the inmates don’t know is that the world outside is also slowly succumbing to the epidemic, with no remedy in sight.
